Welcome to the Band!
Based on the film starring Jack Black and taken to the stage by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Encore Wales will be staging the hit musical School Of Rock later this year.
This West End and Broadway smash hit is a high-octane, heart-warming show that celebrates the power of music. We are looking for a diverse, energetic cast of performers (both kids and adults) who are ready to rock out and give it their all.
Preparation
At the audition we will sing through ‘If Only You Would Listen’ and also ‘Time to Play’ all together, and in groups.
You can hear the songs on YouTube, and there will be a link on the Encore WhatsApp group too. Those who wish to be considered for a role which has some vocal solos will be required to sing on their own (a section of one of those two songs), and read a scene (or a few scenes!).
NB: The audition scenes are mostly general ones to cover as many characters as possible, and they may not have every individual named character in.
